One of the major benefits of using an assignment writing service is that it saves you time. Having to attend classes, study for tests, and write essays leaves little time for rest, exercise or social activities. Every academic paper requires time to complete.

You have to research, plan and write an outline before you even start writing your first draft. The redrafting and editing process is also very time-consuming. If you want to have a balanced life, getting some writing help may be the solution. With essay homework help, you can manage your time better and prioritize what’s most important to you.

Avoid plagiarism

Plagiarism is completely unacceptable in academic writing. If you simply copy and paste material from the internet, you will be guilty of plagiarism. Taking the words and ideas of others and pretending they are your own is theft. You may not even do this intentionally, but it is still flagged as plagiarism. You are taking someone else’s intellectual property. The consequences of plagiarism can vary, but at the very least, you may get zero for an assignment.

Relieve stress

All the responsibilities and tasks you have as a student can cause you to feel anxious. Your anxiety can reach the level where it starts to affect every area of your life. Feeling constantly overwhelmed will affect your mental and physical health.

When you are not physically or mentally strong, it will negatively affect your academic performance. Access to homework essay help can make a difference. It can relieve the pressure you feel so you can prioritize better and approach your tasks calmly and rationally.

Improve academic performance

Writers working for essay writing companies have an academic background and may even have a master’s or a Ph.D. This means they know exactly what professors are looking for in essays. They know how to do the research, structure their essays, and provide accurate referencing.

Grades are subjective and can depend on many factors but by using the right service that screens homework essay writers thoroughly. You are likely to get a good grade for your essay. The best assignment help websites have a thorough writer screening process.

Affordability

As a student, you probably have a tight budget, so the affordability of writing help is important, but you also want to receive quality. The competition between writing services keeps the prices down and the quality high. The best companies offer excellent rates and high-quality content. If you can afford essay writing help from time to time, it could help to ease your academic burden. You may even get a discount if you order your essay well before the deadline.

Revisions

Reputable services will allow you as many revisions as you need to make sure your paper is as good as it can be. Make sure you choose a company that won’t charge you for every revision. The writer will usually be happy to rewrite sections you are unhappy with or explain their writing choices to you. Being able to ask for revisions can help you to feel more in control of the process when someone is writing an essay for you.

Conclusion

Working with a reputable essay-writing company can be very helpful. It will give you more time so your life can be more balanced. It will help you to avoid plagiarism and learn what’s required when writing academic essays. Your stress levels will also improve so you can face your other academic challenges with a good mindset.

A timeline of events in the bread price-fixing scandal

Published

 on

Almost seven years since news broke of an alleged conspiracy to fix the price of packaged bread across Canada, the saga isn’t over: the Competition Bureau continues to investigate the companies that may have been involved, and two class-action lawsuits continue to work their way through the courts.

Here’s a timeline of key events in the bread price-fixing case.

Oct. 31, 2017: The Competition Bureau says it’s investigating allegations of bread price-fixing and that it was granted search warrants in the case. Several grocers confirm they are co-operating in the probe.

Dec. 19, 2017: Loblaw and George Weston say they participated in an “industry-wide price-fixing arrangement” to raise the price of packaged bread. The companies say they have been co-operating in the Competition Bureau’s investigation since March 2015, when they self-reported to the bureau upon discovering anti-competitive behaviour, and are receiving immunity from prosecution. They announce they are offering $25 gift cards to customers amid the ongoing investigation into alleged bread price-fixing.

Jan. 31, 2018: In court documents, the Competition Bureau says at least $1.50 was added to the price of a loaf of bread between about 2001 and 2016.

Dec. 20, 2019: A class-action lawsuit in a Quebec court against multiple grocers and food companies is certified against a number of companies allegedly involved in bread price-fixing, including Loblaw, George Weston, Metro, Sobeys, Walmart Canada, Canada Bread and Giant Tiger (which have all denied involvement, except for Loblaw and George Weston, which later settled with the plaintiffs).

Dec. 31, 2021: A class-action lawsuit in an Ontario court covering all Canadian residents except those in Quebec who bought packaged bread from a company named in the suit is certified against roughly the same group of companies.

June 21, 2023: Bakery giant Canada Bread Co. is fined $50 million after pleading guilty to four counts of price-fixing under the Competition Act as part of the Competition Bureau’s ongoing investigation.

Oct. 25 2023: Canada Bread files a statement of defence in the Ontario class action denying participating in the alleged conspiracy and saying any anti-competitive behaviour it participated in was at the direction and to the benefit of its then-majority owner Maple Leaf Foods, which is not a defendant in the case (neither is its current owner Grupo Bimbo). Maple Leaf calls Canada Bread’s accusations “baseless.”

Dec. 20, 2023: Metro files new documents in the Ontario class action accusing Loblaw and its parent company George Weston of conspiring to implicate it in the alleged scheme, denying involvement. Sobeys has made a similar claim. The two companies deny the allegations.

July 25, 2024: Loblaw and George Weston say they agreed to pay a combined $500 million to settle both the Ontario and Quebec class-action lawsuits. Loblaw’s share of the settlement includes a $96-million credit for the gift cards it gave out years earlier.

Sept. 12, 2024: Canada Bread files new documents in Ontario court as part of the class action, claiming Maple Leaf used it as a “shield” to avoid liability in the alleged scheme. Maple Leaf was a majority shareholder of Canada Bread until 2014, and the company claims it’s liable for any price-fixing activity. Maple Leaf refutes the claims.
