The award-winning golf and lake community of Harmony in Springbank has just unveiled two estate-style show homes: the Scarlett, a two-storey, family-centric home by Baywest Homes and the Henderson II, a sophisticated bungalow design by Augusta Fine Homes.

“Each show home offers a vibrant energy in each builder’s interpretation of modern design and living,” says Laurel Campbell, marketing manager at Bordeaux Developments, the co-developer with Qualico Communities of Harmony.

At 3,389 square feet, plus an addition 1,245 square feet of living space on the lower level, the Scarlett offers ample living space for a growing family and is an entertainer’s dream. A dramatic open-to-above grand foyer sets the tone, while a gourmet kitchen and a generously sized covered outdoor deck allow for plenty of epicurean feasts al fresco.
The upper level features an oasis-like master suite and three secondary bedrooms, all with access to their own bathroom.
Downstairs, a relaxed hang out space with a home gym, wet bar, recreation room and a fifth bedroom, perfect for guests or teenagers, carves a quiet retreat.
An empty nester’s dream, the bungalow-style Henderson II offers a calming palette and elegant main floor living with an expansive great room, 10-foot-high ceilings and a luxurious owners’ suite. Featuring more than 3,000 square feet of living space, the $1.4 million home provides two additional secondary bedrooms (one with its own ensuite) on the lower level, along with a home gym and wet bar.

The development team behind Harmony is no stranger to creating head-turning show home parades. In fact, along with picking up the award for Community of the Year-Calgary Region (it’s the seventh time it has won), Harmony also won accolades for Show Home Parade of the Year at the 2022 Building Industry and Land Development (BILD) Awards-Calgary Region.
An outdoor enthusiast’s paradise, Harmony can best be described as a connected village with two signature lakes, a sandy beach and clubhouse and plenty of interactive pathways, and parks. For the golfing set, the 18-hole Mickelson National Golf Club is next door. The estate homes round out the housing options in Harmony, which include townhomes, rear-laned homes, front-drive homes and villa bungalows.
Estate and lakefront homes start at $1.2 million and can be built on a variety of lots throughout the community from level to walk-out, as well as on properties fronting onto the lake with a private dock.
“We are really confident that purchasers will really see the value in the community, how much it’s grown over the years and the quality of homes offered,” says Bordeaux’s Campbell.

CHICAGO (AP) — United Airlines has struck a deal with Elon Musk’s SpaceX to offer satellite-based Starlink WiFi service on flights within the next several years.
The airline said Friday the service will be free to passengers.
United said it will begin testing the service early next year and begin offering it on some flights by later in 2025.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
The announcement comes as airlines rush to offer more amenities as a way to stand out when passengers pick a carrier for a trip. United’s goal is to make sitting on a plane pretty much like being on the ground when it comes to browsing the internet, streaming entertainment and playing games.
“Everything you can do on the ground, you’ll soon be able to do on board a United plane at 35,000 feet, just about anywhere in the world,” CEO Scott Kirby said in announcing the deal.
The airline says Starlink will allow passengers to get internet access even over oceans and polar regions where traditional cell or Wi-Fi signals may be weak or missing.
