Americans are killing Americans. Children killing children. The 18-year-old gunman who murdered 19 children and two adults is a kid with a gun. You are angry and you want justice, peace, and righteous retribution. You want to be able to live your life free of modern-day horrors like what has happened in Buffalo, Texas, New Orleans and over a hundred other places in America over these past few years.
Women Speak up, cry out for justice, in sorry, anger or perhaps despair, but do something. You see mankind has brought this horror upon itself. Men are not as empathetic, caring or selfless as women are. Studies have shown that you have a far greater empathetic response to the needs of others. Whether it be a motherly instinct or a historic matriarchal response you have what it takes to change lives, thought patterns, and others’ expectations.
“I am Woman hear me roar
in numbers too big to ignore
and I know too much to go back and pretend
cause I have heard it all before(from men)
and I’ve been down there on the floor
and no ones going to keep me down there again”
Women of Influence and economic and political power do something now. Man has suffered from tunnel vision with regards to this one power element that they hold dear to themselves…Weapons, the ability to destroy or protect. The very concept or possibility that evil will cometh and men must protectively respond. The second amendment needs to be changed, and the power of The NRA and Gun Manufacturers is challenged not just by men of like mind, but Women, those who make up 50% of the global population. You have power, but you are not using it yet. While our innocents are dying, black men killing black men, shootouts in most places we once thought were safe, like churches and malls. Women need to take charge. You have called for equal treatment for many decades, and fought for equal rights for your brothers and sisters within every aspect of our lives.
“Oh yes I am wise
but it is wisdom born of pain.
Yes, I’ve paid the price,
But look how much I have gained 🙁
If I have to I can do anything
for I am strong…I AM A WOMAN”
Is this just a song? Or can it be an anthem of change? Women of every Color, of every economic and political stripe, You need to take action for it is only through You that the horrors and threats of America’s Nightmare will end. We looked at the grieving parents in Texas and Buffalo and we fought back our tears, but grieving has a purpose, and that is it leads to resolute action, a decision to solve a problem.
America has a historic problem and only Women can lead mankind toward the promised land. Women use your pocketbooks, your ingenuity and influence. A woman can manipulate and persuade mankind in many ways. How about calling for a national strike, where Women stop doing all things for their masculine partners. After all, the sales of guns are a threat to all, especially all the Mothers, Sisters, Daughters, and Nieces of those who are murdered.
“You are a woman watch us grow
See us standing toe to toe
as you spread your loving hands
across this painfilled land”(thanks Helen Reddy)
If you fight the good fight and pick those you oppose right, the enemy of my enemy will be found.
Women must fight to end the creation of the tools of death, guns and weapons that are truly the weapons of mass destruction George Bush was looking for long ago. He just did not know it at the time.
“You have to face things, have faith in what you do and go for it. Think, What’s the worst that could happen”?(Annie Lennox) Wise and simple words. Stop your crying and transform your grief into powerful energy for positive change. Tear down those who support and protect the killers of our children, those who take away our freedom to live our lives free of FEAR. What is a gun, but a tool that inspires FEAR?
Women, Sisters, Mothers, Brides and Neighbors remember to look at what you have gained over the years and realize You must do anything and everything to be more fully an unstoppable Woman. Protector of the innocent, lost and prideful, a Woman united in gender and thought, a mighty tool of Peace.
