Published

 on

As part of the PlayStation State of Play event, Larian Studios announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 is headed to console. Previously, it was confirmed only for PC.

The game will launch on August 31 on PlayStation 5 and PC. An Xbox release has not been announced yet, but Larian boss Swen Vincke suggested the game won’t be exclusive to PS5 on console. A new trailer was also released.

Baldur’s Gate 3 will have split-screen co-op on console, as well as cross-progression between PC, Mac, and PS5. An Xbox release may also be on tap.

Larian Studios also announced a new character for Baldur’s Gate III, General Ketheric Thromthe, who is voiced by Oscar-winning actor J.K. Simmons. Ketheric is one of three main villains in the game.

“Ketheric’s plans for the people of Faerûn are as complex as his motivations, and so we knew his role would benefit from the kind of depth and gravitas that renowned character actor could provide,” Larian said.

A Digital Deluxe edition of Baldur’s Gate III is coming, too. It includes:

  • Divinity Bard Song Pack – Astound audiences by performing this special set of new songs from the Divinity series
  • Paintings from Rivellon – Discover a new collection of paintings across the Forgotten Realms
  • Adventurer’s Pouch – Receive a collection of camp supplies and potions to help get your journey started
  • Digital OST – Enjoy the music of Baldur’s Gate 3 from composer Borislav Slavov
  • Digital Artbook – Explore the art and design of Baldur’s Gate 3 in this digital artbook, written by Larian
  • Digital Character Sheets – Peruse a set of four-page D&D character sheets for each Baldur’s Gate 3 origin character
  • Mask of the Shapeshifter: Allows you to change race and appearance on the fly, inspired by Fane
  • Cape of the Red Prince: Cloak inspired by the Red Prince
  • Lute of the Merryweather Bard: Playable instrument inspired by Lohse
  • Needle of the Outlaw Rogue: Dagger inspired by Sebille
  • Bicorne of the Sea Beast: Headgear inspired by Beast

People who bought Baldur’s Gate III on Steam via Early Access will get a free upgrade to the Digital Deluxe edition at launch. The same is true for people who buy the Collector’s Edition on PC and PS5. This includes everything in the image below.

Published

 on

The personal information of some Nothing customers has hit the web.

As discovered by Android Authority, a file on a text file-sharing website contains a bunch of Nothing Community profiles. While some of the data is here public information, like usernames, comments and join dates, private information, namely emails, are also visible.

Digging into it further, Android Authority says it couldn’t find any evidence of passwords being leaked. It also notes that the data appears to be from 2022 and affects roughly 2,250 Nothing Community profiles, including some for community managers.

Of course, despite Android Authority‘s investigation, there’s always the chance that other info could have been leaked. Therefore, you might want to keep an eye on your info for any strange activity on top of changing your password.

Android Authority says it’s still awaiting comment from Nothing.

Apple's FineWoven cases rumored to get one final release – AppleInsider

Published

 on

Apple’s range of FineWoven cases

Apple has probably stopped production of its poorly-received FineWoven cases for the iPhone, but a new report from the same herald of its death says there is one last set of seasonal colorways coming.

Now according to leaker Kosutami, who first reported the cancellation, there could still be one more push for the FineWoven cases.

Pressed on the rumor, Kosutami emphasizes later in the same thread that if this is correct, it will be for only one more season. It’s now almost eight months since the launch of the iPhone 15 range, so it’s unlikely that there is to be a new mid-cycle color of the iPhone, but perhaps there can yet be new colors for the FineWoven cases.

Consequently, this rumor can at best be said to be possible, especially if Apple had already committed resources to the new colors. However, since FineWoven has proven to be startlingly poor at stain resistance or even just durability, it’s more believable that it is gone for good than it is that FineWoven will get a last hoorah.
