Potential exposure to COVID-19 at locations in Sydney, North Sydney – Cape Breton Post
SYDNEY, N.S. —
Nova Scotia Public Health is advising of potential exposure to COVID-19 at two locations in Cape Breton.
The potential exposure locations include Superstore at 125 King St., in North Sydney as well as Fabricville at 356 Welton St., in Sydney.
The potential exposure at Superstore was on Jan. 2 between 10-11:30 a.m. Meanwhile, potential exposure at Fabricville was also on Jan. 2 between 9-10:15 a.m.
It’s anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, Jan. 16.
Anyone who worked or visited the Cape Breton locations on the specific date and times is asked to visit covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca/en to book a COVID-19 test, regardless of whether or not they have COVID-19 symptoms.
If you have symptoms of COVID-19 you are required to self-isolate while you wait for your test result. If you don’t have any symptoms of the virus you don’t need to self-isolate while you wait for your test.
Currently, anyone travelling to Nova Scotia from outside of the Atlantic Provinces is expected to self-isolate alone for 14 days after arriving. If a person travelling for non-essential reasons enters Nova Scotia from outside Atlantic Canada, then everyone in the home where they are self-isolating will have to self-isolate as well.
