The Windsor Police Service is looking into an alleged incident where an officer was refused service at an Arby’s location on Tecumseh Road East as an apparent sign of protest.

A social media post that shows two Arby’s employees on one knee claims that the officer was refused service and given a refund for their order.

The post read, “A co-worker of mine with the Windsor Police Service was just denied his food at the Arby’s located at Tecumseh Rd. East in Windsor. The photo below shows the manager of the Arby’s getting the officer his refund.” The original post has since been deleted but not before it was shared multiple times.

Windsor police issued a statement over Twitter on Saturday in regard to the social media post.

“The Windsor Police Service is aware of a recent social media post involving how an on-duty officer was received at local drive thru business,” read the post. “The WPS is looking into the circumstances surrounding this isolated incident.”

Blackburn News has reached out to the Arby’s location in question and its head office but has yet to receive a response.
