Hospitalizations in Alberta due to COVID-19 “remain stable,” Hinshaw tweeted.
On Saturday, April 3, 8,000 vaccines were administered in Alberta.
To date, 693,000 vaccines have been administered across the province.
Hinshaw noted that the usual COVID-19 update will resume on Monday, April 5.
“In the meantime, please continue to follow the health measures that are in place to slow the spread of COVID-19 and help protect those around you,” she stated.
During Saturday’s update, Dr. Hinshaw noted the health officials were investigating a “significant” outbreak in Alberta involving P.1 variants of concern – the variant that originated in Brazil, linked to a returning traveller.
