The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit, in consultation with local police services and Emergency Medical Services, is issuing an Opioid Overdose Alert.
This is based on recent reports of multiple overdoses and at least four suspected overdose deaths in the region, especially in the two largest urban areas – Lindsay and Cobourg.
