More than $6k in clothing stolen
The Guelph Police Service is investigating after more than $6,000 in clothing was stolen during a break-in early Tuesday.
Police were called approximately 8:25 a.m. to a business in the area of Alma Street South and Inkerman Street. Investigation revealed two males had forced open a window on a glass door and entered the business at 5:35 a.m. Approximately 70 jackets and other clothing was stolen.

Male arrested in factory break-in
A Guelph male has been arrested for breaking into a local manufacturing business last month.
Approximately 4:30 a.m. June 28, two males entered the business in the area of Massey Road and Elmira Road North through an unlocked contractor door. They stole machine parts before leaving via the same door 15 minutes later.
One of the males was identified due to previous interaction and was arrested Tuesday. A 42-year-old Guelph male is charged with break and enter. He will appear in a Guelph court August 9, 2022.
The investigation is ongoing to identify the second male. Police seek driver involved in collision
The Guelph Police Service would like to speak to a driver involved in a collision with a cyclist last Friday.
Approximately 2:15 p.m., a cyclist was riding westbound on Wellington Street West when he collided with a grey BMW which turned into his path at Imperial Road South, causing the cyclist to fall to the ground.
The driver of the BMW, described as a dark-haired female in her 30s or 40s, stopped and provided assistance to the cyclist. The collision was reported to police a day later after the cyclist began experiencing minor pain in his leg.
Police would like to speak to the driver as well as anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage. Spools of wire stolen
The Guelph Police Service is investigating after several spools of wire were stolen early Wednesday from a south-end business.
Approximately 2:15 a.m. police were contacted by an alarm company official, who was watching the theft via live video surveillance. Two males attended a business on Southgate Drive and loaded several spools into a pickup truck before driving away.
The males are described as white, wearing black hoodies with the hoods up, dark pants, baseball caps, gloves and bandanas over their faces. They were driving a grey Dodge Ram 1500 with the licence plates covered.
