Animal Crossing: New Horizons is selling just phenomenally, outrageously well, so with that in mind, it shouldn’t be surprising if some celebrities are playing the game. Notably, Brie Larson entered a formal partnership with Nintendo on Instagram to support the release of the game. But now we seem to have an unofficial endorsement for the game from a much more fascinating celebrity: Tommy Wiseau, creator of the iconic and legendary film, The Room. He tweeted the following about Animal Crossing: New Horizons:
#AnimalCrossing #ACNH #AnimalCrossingNewHorizons #TommyWiseau?? pic.twitter.com/lalL62jpK4
— Tommy Wiseau (@TommyWiseau) March 26, 2020
It’s a screenshot of the video game loaded up with relevant hash tags, which in itself isn’t extraordinary. But the point of interest is that painting hanging on the wall, a reference to a still shot of Tommy Wiseau himself holding a football in The Room:

Is Tommy Wiseau actually playing this game, and did he go hunting down the QR code that would let him import the image into Animal Crossing: New Horizons? Or does Wiseau just have a savvy social media person with the game who threw this all together? Whatever the case, it’s a “Mission Complete” for earning our attention.
If you need this iconic football-wielding image from The Room in your New Horizons island, we’ve got you covered.
