“It’s about putting art where the people are,” Matotek said of the innovative collaboration. “It’s delivering art experiences where people are at.”
It’s a partnership she’s interested in exploring here in Windsor.
“You have to think about balancing the legacy that’s here and how you shift and take art out of the gallery to meet people,” she said.
Since face-to-face meetings aren’t possible right now, Matotek is looking to connect with community partners, including Windsor Public Library’s chief executive officer Kitty Pope, virtually.
Pope is eager to listen.
“Having worked in Saskatchewan for years I am a fan of the great relationship between Regina PL and the art gallery,” Pope said in an email response.
