The Nova Scotia Health Authority is warning the public about a potential exposure to COVID 19 at RONA on Almon St. in Halifax.
The exposure in the store occurred on dates including May 23, 25 and 28.
Public Health says they are directly contacting anyone known to be a close contact of the person, and that most have already been contacted.
However, if you were at the location on those dates, Public Health says you could develop symptoms up to and including June 11.
People should self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19, including:
- Fever (chills, sweats, etc.)
- Cough (new or worsening)
- Sore throat
- Headache
- Shortness of breath
- Muscle aches
- Sneezing
- Nasal congestion or runny nose
- Hoarse voice
- Diarrhea
- Unusual fatigue
- Loss of sense of smell or taste
- Red, purple or blueish lesions, on the feet, toes or fingers without clear cause
If you have any COVID-19 symptoms you are asked to call 811 for assessment and self-isolate for the time being. Do not go directly to a COVID-19 assessment centre without being directed to do so by 811.
The NSHA says the public notification is not in any way a reflection on the behavior or activities of those named in the notification.
