
Public Health Sudbury and Districts is reporting two new confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Both cases are in the Greater Sudbury area.
With eight cases being resolved since yesterday’s update, the current number of active cases is now 50, down from 56 the previous day.
The health unit is now providing information on its website regarding the number of vaccine doses administered to date, which as of Feb. 4 at 4 p.m. was 985. The vaccines approved for use require two doses, administered a few weeks apart.
Public Health Sudbury and Districts has performed 157,943 COVID-19 tests to date.
At Health Sciences North, there are five patients with confirmed cases of COVID-19, two in the ICU and three in other units. Furthermore, 10 patients are currently under investigation, one in the ICU and nine in other units.
