The B.C. government has announced call centres have processed COVID-19 vaccine bookings for seniors aged 90 and up ahead of schedule.
As a result, seniors aged 85-plus and Indigenous peoples 65-plus can now call starting March 11 at 12 p.m. to book their vaccine appointments.
The government previously said people from that age bracket could call starting next week, but after a rough first day, call centres have been booking appointments at a faster pace.
Health Minister Adrian Dix said Wednesday evening that a total of 37,000 appointments have been booked so far. Nearly 5,900 of those came in Interior Health.
Info on what you need to book your appointment can be found here.
