PRINCE GEORGE–There’s some new Indigenous-inspired artwork that you can see at the Two Rivers Art Gallery starting Tuesday, which created by kids.
It’s part of the Mîtawîtân (Let’s Play!) project.
Artist Catherine Ruddell, who is of Métis and settler descendent, developed 200 free art kits for kids.
The kits come with materials and a prompt written in the Michif language. The prompts are different types of summer activities. Kids made stamps out of string, fun-foam, and cardboard.
