Starfield, Bethesda’s highly anticipated game, will support Xbox’s Play Anywhere feature, allowing players to enjoy the game on both Xbox and PC without having to purchase separate versions. Play Anywhere is Xbox’s in-house program that allows players who buy a supported game on Xbox Series X/S to also play it on PC and vice versa.
One of the major advantages of Play Anywhere is the seamless transfer of saves between platforms. Players can start playing on one platform and then switch to the other without losing progress. In addition, all Achievements and downloadable content (DLC) obtained on one platform will automatically be shared with the other. Essentially, it is like owning both the PC and Xbox versions of the game while only having to pay for one.
However, it is important to note that this feature only applies when purchasing Starfield directly from Xbox. If the game is purchased on a different platform, such as Steam, a separate purchase will be required for Xbox compatibility.
The inclusion of the Play Anywhere feature in Starfield is expected to greatly benefit players who enjoy gaming on both PC and console. It offers convenience and flexibility, allowing players to seamlessly switch between platforms without any loss of progress or achievements.
A recent leak suggests that Starfield will have 50 Achievements to unlock at launch, similar to the number of Achievements in Bethesda’s previous games, Skyrim and Fallout 4. This news has also sparked memories of unattained Fallout 4 trophies for some players.
