Art galleries in Saskatoon are prepared for the crisp fall weather this month, with some featured exhibitions by local and national artists who express their unique views of the world through their work. Web producer Jocelyn Bennett checked in with a few local galleries about their current exhibitions.
“This exhibition, drawn from the U of S Art Collection, features 12 artists that have employed the medium of photography to examine personal, social and collective concerns, ranging from socio-economic conditions to union rights and factory labour. The works reveal multiple ways that the camera has been used as an instrument to convey the artist’s conceptual considerations,” curator Leah Taylor said.
The College Art Galleries are located in the University of Saskatchewan’s Peter MacKinnon Building, 107 Administration Pl. Information is available at artsandscience.usask.ca/galleries.
