KGHM International Ltd. has made a gift of $2,500 to the Art Gallery of Sudbury, in support of its ongoing capital campaign.
“KGHM is proud to invest in this exciting project for the Art Gallery of Sudbury and downtown Greater Sudbury,” said Steven Dunlop, GM at KGHM. “At KGHM, our business is our people and a new educational, cultural and tourism destination will provide our current and future employees another reason to live, work and stay in Sudbury.”
The Art Gallery of Sudbury, the Greater Sudbury Public Library and the Sudbury Multicultural and Folk Arts Association have partnered with the City of Greater Sudbury to create a cultural hub at Tom Davies Square.
The new gallery will open its doors by the end of 2026.
“On behalf of the Art Gallery of Sudbury, I want to thank KGHM for their generous gift. We are honoured by the support they have shown for the gallery and for arts and culture in our community,” said Paula Gouveia, a board member. “With the support of partners like KGHM, we continue to move one step closer to realizing our dream of building a new art gallery where we will welcome our community and the world.”
The Art Gallery of Sudbury is a leading public art gallery that engages and celebrates creative and diverse local, provincial and national communities. It is a place for everyone to discover, experience and create art.
