For the last 24 hours:
Break & Enter:
On Sunday afternoon, a landlord reported a break and enter to a rental property in the 1300 block 4 Street that occurred sometime between then and December 6. As the property was vacant, nothing was stolen and the only damage appeared to be a broken window. In the absence of physical evidence or surveillance, the investigation is concluded pending any new information coming to light.
Impaired Driver:
Just before 3:00 AM Monday morning, members on patrol observed a vehicle parked, in a parking lot in the 3400 block Victoria Avenue, with a blinker on. Upon attending to the vehicle, a male was observed in the driver’s seat, apparently passed-out, with vomit seen inside and outside of the vehicle. After being medically assessed, the 21 year-old Brandon resident was returned to BPS for breath samples, which he refused to provide. He was arrested for that offense, and held to sober up. He will be released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on December 29th facing charges of impaired care and control and failing to provide a breath sample.
