PORT HOOD, N.S. — Nova Scotia Health’s mobile primary care clinic is heading to Port Hood to help residents address non-urgent medical needs on Saturday, Dec. 2.
The by-appointment mobile clinic, stationed at the Dr. John Waters Community Health Centre from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., is a temporary service to give residents a primary care setting for people with mild or moderate health concerns.
Patients can get prescription refills or renewals, and be treated for minor respiratory symptoms, sore throat, earaches, fever, headache, rashes, minor gastrointestinal concerns, cough, flu or cold symptoms, urinary tract infections and muscle pain.
Residents should note that the clinic is not a drop-in, and anyone looking to book an appointment should call 902-919-5340.
Anyone with urgent medical needs should call 911, and those looking for general health advice and information should call 811.
