Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is calling for a federal election on the same day Mark Carney was sworn in as Canada’s 24th prime minister. She also appealed for the federal government to repeal the industrial carbon price after Carney’s government announced it had ended the consumer price on carbon. (March 14, 2025)
