Health Canada has announced a recall of OVERTIME Punch Out dried cannabis flower sold in Ontario, because the THC and CBD values on the label are switched and the product contains far more THC than the package says. The affected jars are 3.5 grams, lot 11185, packaged on Sept. 15, 2026.
The notice, posted Oct. 21 on the Government of Canada recalls and safety alerts site, says the label shows total THC at 0.6 mg/g and total CBD at 300 mg/g (30 per cent). The actual values are the reverse: 300 mg/g (30 per cent) THC and 0.6 mg/g CBD.
THC is the compound in cannabis that causes intoxication. CBD does not produce a high. A product that looks low in THC on the label but is actually very high in THC can catch a consumer off guard.
Health Canada said the incorrect THC level may make it difficult for people to make informed decisions about their cannabis use. It said that can lead to over-intoxication and temporary adverse health effects linked to THC overdose.
Those effects can include confusion, disorganized thinking, physical and mental impairment, anxiety, fear or panic, decreased blood pressure and an elevated heart rate. In rare cases, depending on the person and the dose, THC overdose can cause psychotic episodes marked by paranoia, delusion or hallucinations. Health Canada said these effects could in some cases lead to an emergency department visit or hospitalization.
The notice says 1,320 units of the recalled product were sold from Sept. 16 to Oct. 16, 2026, through authorized retailers in Ontario. The recall covers Ontario only. The recalling company is Galaxie Brands Corporation, and the Ontario Cannabis Store is listed as the distributor.
As of the posting, neither Galaxie Brands nor Health Canada had received any complaints or adverse reaction reports about the recalled lot.
To check whether you have an affected product, look at the jar for the name OVERTIME Punch Out, the 3.5 gram size and lot number 11185. The packaging date of 2026-09-15 is also listed in the notice. If your jar matches, the label’s THC and CBD numbers should not be trusted.
Health Canada’s advice is to check whether your product is affected. If you want to return it, contact the store where you bought it. The notice does not describe a refund process, so the retailer is the place to ask.
Anyone who has already used the product and has concerns about how they feel should contact a health care provider or a poison control centre. In an emergency, call 911. Because the real THC content is much higher than labelled, people who used it in the usual amount may have taken a larger dose than they intended.
Consumers can also report health or safety complaints about this or other cannabis products to Health Canada through its online Cannabis Reporting Form. Our guide to how to report a drug side effect to Health Canada explains how the department’s other reporting channels work.
The recalling company can be reached at 226-486-0369, and the Ontario Cannabis Store at 1-888-910-0627, according to the notice. The notice also links to Health Canada’s page for reporting a health or safety concern.

Anyone who keeps cannabis at home should store it securely, away from children and pets, and should not drive or operate machinery after using it.
