Canoe Financial LP announced a sponsorship of Canadian Olympic gold medallist and world champion canoeist Katie Vincent on Oct. 5, the Calgary-based investment firm said in a news release.
The partnership runs through the 2028 Olympic cycle and includes a national marketing campaign. The campaign is built around a shared investment and athletic mindset, summed up in the phrase “Discipline compounds. Performance is earned.”
“Katie’s story is about more than medals,” Darcy Hulston, president and CEO of Canoe Financial, said in the release. He said her success rests on the same beliefs that guide the firm’s work, and described her as an example of what long-term commitment can achieve.
Vincent is a leading figure in canoe sprint. Her résumé includes Olympic gold and bronze medals, world championship titles and multiple world records, according to the release.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed in the release.
Canoe Financial is an employee-owned, independent mutual fund company founded in 2008. It has offices in Calgary, Toronto and Montreal and manages nearly $25 billion in assets, the company said.
