Ottawa has pledged to invest $1.3 billion to beef up security at the Canada-U.S. border amid a trade war launched by U.S. President Donald Trump. RCMP Const. Ian Smith says he and his colleagues in Windsor are patrolling 800 kilometres of the border 24 hours a day in an effort to prevent cross-border criminal activity. (March 16, 2025)
