Tariffs have screwed up our marketplace. What is no longer viable so long as American Foreign-economic and Social Policies are tied together as one. Canadians cannot wait for America to evolve, so we need to recon which Economic tiger we need to latch onto, be it the European Union or China? Perhaps even the subcontinent of India? Canadian culture has evolved into a more accepting ethnic past of cultures, smeared throughout our socio-economic fabric. The Indian and Chinese communities continue to grow in economic and political significance in Canada. Ethnic based firms are creating new and established employment, while the established corporations in Canada have begun to flounder. There will be a time when Canadian Children will be given an opportunity to begin to learn English-French-Mandarin and Hindi. It makes obvious sense. Canada is far more international than our cousins to the south.
Building Economic and Political Alliances with these nations makes sense. The three nations which have emerged as premier economic powers have begun a process of establishing closer ties to each other, realizing that the isolationist attitudes of America’s Government will lead to its ultimate downfall. China’s currency may someday outpace America’s, and there is strong proof of Chinese Empowerment internationally. India has one of the world’s largest Navies, an economic productivity modelled upon its neighbours to the East. A Chinese-Indian Accord uniting their economic power will definitely challenge all other global superpowers. Canadians need to tether their growth to that of Asia. America has quite possibly overtaken Canada in the EU Marketplace. Why compete with America in the EU when the Asian Market loudly calls upon Canadian firms to become part of a greater experiment? The American Economic experiment has backfired upon us. China and India need Canada as a working proxy into America’s Marketplace.
Sure, there are definite challenges Canadians need to deal with. Our location and economic traditions ally us to our neighbour. The Asian’s call can be considered, while Canadians interject our concerns about Asia’s Human Rights Record. If you’re not a part of it, how can you help change it? What does Asia have to offer?
Asian Made Vehicles are priced just about right. Far less costly than other foreign vehicles and better made.
A growing and sustained marketplace is craving our resources and Energy Sources.
A Marketplace open to Canadian Technologies and offering their services in practice.
The largest Marketplace in the World is yearning for Canadian Partnerships.
Internationally, China is winning the global trade war. Through political and economic influence and trade, much of the world owes its advancement to Chinese Partnerships. Super builds are happening throughout the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and Central America because of the investments of the Chinese. Sure, there are obligatory ties to China’s efforts, rules and economic-political debts to pay. Look to America’s policies and see what China has been doing for decades. Trumpian America is now attempting to do. All for America’s benefit, right? The question most heard in Washington, DC, is ” What is in it for America?”. Canadians need to look to the future and ask the same question. What does an alliance mean to Canada? What is in it for Canada?
A major shift in Canada’s foreign economic policy is called for. Let’s decide which train to board, and whether we will be a mere passenger for the conductor.
Imagine an atmosphere of peace and stability being established internationally? If China and India can manage a friendly competitive state amongst themselves, why can’t Canada with them, assuring our place in a massive marketplace that is anti-American?
