Sir/ Madam the time has come for the Democratic Party to pursue constitutional change with regards to the 2nd Amendment. What is happening in America every day, in every community must be stopped. It is not in the polices hands, your electorates hands, but in your hands the ability to achieve peace in your time, not on a foreign battlefield but in the communities of your beloved America. I have seen people die by the gun and knife. Horrible ways to die, but the level of horror that presents itself because guns can kill more people in less the time demands you and Your Vice President to respond firmly, clearly. Guns are not toys to be given at Christmas. They are designed to kill. That is it. The miserable dream your nation experiences each day must come to an end. Have the courage to frame your administration and yourself as the ones with the courage to change your nations direction.
1. Make the purchasing of weapons harder/more difficult
2. kick the weapons lobby out of The Capital. They do not belong.
3. Sue every weapon manufacturer, and five those funds won legally to gun victims.
4. Change the wording of the 2nd amendment. Not everyone is a militia prepared to defend the nation.
5. A federal law be presented where a crime using a weapon issues 5-10 years immediately.
6.The ATF must receive greater powers to find and disarm those with weapons of mass destruction
7. Psychological investigation of applicant, with actual criminal records/personal mind sets reviewed.
8. Federal-State Governments must hire a greater number of mental health professionals to review and interview applicants.
Please consider that a revolver can kill many people, a repeating rifle the same. Assault weapons have no place in the sport of hunting. Five-six mass shootings happen each day in your America and this crazed fever is spreading to my home in Canada. Massive amounts of weaponry cross our borders from America to our streets each day. President Biden make your claim to history by actually bringing peace to the streets, schools and gathering places of America.
