Edmonton police are investigating the death of a 31-year-old woman found at a home in northeast Edmonton as a homicide.
Officers were called to a residence near 113 Avenue and 32 Street at about 8:43 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, for a report of an unresponsive, injured woman, the Edmonton Police Service said in a news release.
Edmonton Fire Rescue Services and paramedics tried lifesaving measures, but the woman was declared dead at the scene. The police homicide section took over the case.
An autopsy on Thursday, Oct. 22, confirmed the death was a homicide. Police said the cause of death is being withheld for investigative reasons. The release did not say whether anyone had been arrested or whether police are looking for a suspect. CTV News Edmonton also reported the investigation.
Police are asking anyone with information, or with dashcam or doorbell video from the area, to call 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
