*Journalists who wish to participate in the caravan must register to save a seat. There will be opportunities to speak directly to undocumented migrants who may benefit from the regularization programme.
* Spokespeople are available now to provide context on the regularization programme and the struggle for status.
In the coming weeks or months, the Federal Cabinet will decide on the criteria of Canada’s first broad regularization programme in half a century. That’s why migrants and their supporters are visiting cabinet ministers across Canada on October 16th to say full, permanent status now for all 500,000 undocumented people and all 1.2 million other migrants in Canada with temporary status.
In Montreal, a loud and colourful caravan will deliver messages to the riding offices of Justin Trudeau, David Lametti, Mark Miller, Mélanie Joly, Pablo Rodriguez and Steven Guilbeault, the six federal cabinet ministers with seats in Montreal.
