Montreal, September 2025 — Legal Matters Affecting Seniors: Understanding Your Rights, an upcoming conference presented in recognition of National Seniors Day by Seniors Action Quebec (SAQ) sold out quickly, highlighting the vital need for Quebec’s English-speaking seniors and their families to proactively examine and organize their affairs. The all-day conference, featuring leading elder law and health matter experts, takes place on Saturday, October 4 at the accessible Le Nouvel Hotel.
Seniors Action Quebec‘s first major event of 2025 brings together experts to address the unique challenges facing seniors today. Attendees will gain practical knowledge and actionable strategies to protect their rights, navigate complex legal matters, and get answers to their most pressing concerns. This milestone event represents the resilience and thought leadership within Quebec’s seniors’ community.
Seniors currently comprise almost 25% of Quebec’s population, with an even larger share in regions outside Montreal. Seniors Action Quebec is committed to advocating for the needs of English-speaking seniors and enhancing their wellbeing via research, live events and online resources available in English, for all seniors and organizations supporting seniors across Quebec.
“I am thrilled with the strong response to our conference. It proves seniors need comprehensive legal information and the opportunity to socialize and build networks.” — Ruth Pelletier, founder and conference moderator, Seniors Action Quebec
