Manitoba’s Progressive Conservatives have apologized to the families of two slain First Nations women after refusing to search a landfill for their remains and later touting that decision in a 2023 election campaign advertisement. The apology follows the discovery of potential human remains at the Prairie Green landfill, where a search was launched after the New Democrats won the election.
