The Central Huron BIA is hosting what it’s calling a ‘See Your Art on an Excavator Colouring Contest.’

Community Improvement Assistant Izzie Siebert says they did another colouring contest for the Albert Street big dig but this one is unique because the winner will have their photo made into a sticker to go on an excavator.

“We have colouring pages on line and they each have a little excavator in the middle and then a ton of blank space. So we’re encouraging the kids to colour that excavator and then draw a scene around it. They can be as creative as they like and then anything on that paper will be printed on the sticker,” Siebert shared.

The last contest was a first and was fairly successful.

“But the idea for this one is so cool. And we were thinking too the sticker will be ideally a magnet, so it’ll be up on the excavator the whole time during the construction and then hopefully the kid can take home this giant magnet of their artwork and hang it on the fridge at home,” Siebert added.

Siebert says there are two age groups, 0-6 and 7-13, and the deadline for applications is June 24. Application forms and more information about the contest can be found at cchbia.ca/issac-street. She says the colouring pages are there and they can submit them online or leave them at the town hall in Clinton.
