Event honours the best in gaming each year
The 2023 Game Awards have wrapped up, and this year was all about one game in particular: Baldur’s Gate 3.
The gaming industry’s biggest award show was held in Los Angeles, California, on Dec. 7. It was hosted by actor Timothée Chalamet.
They were live-streamed on YouTube.
Baldur’s Gate 3 was announced as game of the year, and took home another five wins including: best RPG (role-playing game), best performance, and player’s choice.

The fantasy role-playing game, which is based on Dungeons and Dragons, was released on Aug. 3.
The game requires players to team up and take on quests within three separate acts, each taking place in a different area of the world.
The game, which is full of medieval imagery and magic, is rated age 17+ by Common Sense Media.
It’s played on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S or PC.

Best action game: Armed Core VI: Fires of Rubicon.
