Cisse inked the offer sheet earlier Saturday, and the Mavericks wasted no time in keeping the centre in Dallas despite having 48 hours to match.
The 23-year-old is coming off a rookie season with the Mavericks in which he appeared in 38 games, averaging 4.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per contest.
Cisse is an important member of Dallas’ roster because its other big men are the oft-injured Dereck Lively II and Daniel Gafford.
