The hated but tolerated dictator Assad has fled to Russia to live a protected lifestyle along with his extended family and friends. They will probably be planning all sorts of violent comeback scenarios for the next few years until Russian authorities can gobble up their massive funds stolen from the people of Syria. Money talks even in the oppressor’s diplomatic circles. No money, no protection.
Assad has left a void that needs to be filled. Never a democracy, Syria faces many socio-political scenarios…
The present legislature and its national forces stand inert trying to figure out what to do and who holds the reins of power in Syria.
Syrian Liberation Front leadership are all former members of ICIC. Will mass executions happen? Will the state revert back to the stone age as it once did with The New Caliphate? Will women be put back into their place, and education become a thing for men and the wealthy? Will Syria become a friend of the West or extend its hands of friendship to Iran or Russia?
Where do America, Britain and France stand in this situation? Is China actively involved in this national transition? Will the oppressiveness of present-day national predators return Syria backwards into a state of oppression and anti-western nostalgia? Never a democracy, a people never free. Is this the path Syria will be leading shortly?
