Canadians turned their backs on U.S. travel last month amid anger over tariffs and annexation threats from President Donald Trump and growing fears about treatment at the border. Statistics Canada reports the number of Canadians returning home by car from the U.S. fell nearly 32 per cent in March compared to 2024 while return trips by air fell 13.5 per cent. (April 10, 2025)
