Region of Waterloo Public Health reported just one new case of the coronavirus on Thursday morning.
It means there have been 1,309 cases in total.
Meantime, 11 more cases have been resolved, improving that total to 1,108.
85 cases are active, which is ten fewer than Wednesday.
The number of deaths linked to the virus remains unchanged at 116, 95 of which have been the result of an outbreak.
Sunnyside Home (long-term care) remains the only active outbreak – a resident and four staff members tested positive for the virus.
Earlier this week, the region released a map of where there have been positive cases (click on Map on the dashboard).
There’s also a change in how testing numbers are being reported, as public health will now only update those numbers on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Here’s the provincial breakdown for Thursday:
- 35,370 total cases (153 new)
- 30,730 resolved cases
- 2,680 deaths (four new)
