A plan to send Tyra the Tyrannosaurus, the popular tourist attraction that towers over the Drumheller skyline in the Canadian Badlands, into a proverbial tar pit has sparked demands that she be spared. The Chamber plans to dismantle Tyra in 2029 but local residents and the town want to find a way to keep her where she is. (April 6, 2025)
