Halifax road closures and traffic delays this week (Oct. 26 to Nov. 1)

HALIFAX – Drivers face a one-day lane restriction on Robie Street on Tuesday and a round-the-clock westbound closure of Windmill Road in Dartmouth that runs through Friday, according to Halifax Regional Municipality notices.

Tuesday, Oct. 27: Robie Street between South and Inglis streets will be affected from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a natural gas service installation, the municipality said in a public service announcement issued Oct. 26. Two-way traffic will be maintained, but drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes. The sidewalk will be closed, with a signed pedestrian detour in place. Monday, Oct. 26 to Friday, Oct. 30: The westbound lane of Windmill Road between Wyse Road and Lyle Street in Dartmouth is closed around the clock for underground utility connections tied to a nearby development. Eastbound traffic is not affected and a marked detour is in place. The north-side sidewalk is closed while the south-side sidewalk stays open.
