Matchbox Twenty will play Vancouver on May 30, 2027, and Toronto on July 21, 2027, as part of a 52-date North American tour marking the band’s 30th anniversary, with general ticket sales opening Friday, Oct. 23.
The two shows are the only Canadian stops on the tour, which is promoted by Live Nation, according to Billboard Canada. A presale for fans who sign up on the band’s website begins today, Oct. 20, and a Reserved by Spotify presale opens the same day, Billboard Canada reported.
The Vancouver concert is set for 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 30, 2027, at the Freedom Mobile Arch, 2901 E. Hastings St., Daily Hive reported. Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 23, at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.ca, and Daily Hive listed prices only as varying. Billboard Canada said The Wallflowers are the opening act in Vancouver.
The Toronto show is July 21, 2027, at RBC Amphitheatre, with David Gray as the opener, Billboard Canada said. JamBase also lists a Toronto date on July 21 and a Vancouver date on May 30, and said general sales open Oct. 23 at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster and AXS. JamBase did not name the Canadian venues. Ticket prices for either city were not published in the sources reviewed.
The tour marks the anniversary of the band’s debut album, You or Someone Like You, which Billboard Canada said was released on Oct. 1. The lineup is Rob Thomas, Kyle Cook, Paul Doucette and Brian Yale. Live Nation said the band has sold more than 40 million records worldwide, as quoted by Daily Hive.
Other openers on the tour, which will appear at select stops, are The All-American Rejects, O.A.R., Matt Nathanson and The Lucky, according to JamBase and Billboard Canada. Neither outlet said which acts will play which dates beyond the Canadian openers above.
The full run begins with a Stagecoach Festival appearance in Indio, Calif., on April 25, 2027, Billboard Canada said. JamBase lists the main outing as starting May 15, 2027, in Birmingham, Ala., and finishing Aug. 12 in Grand Rapids, Mich. Other stops include Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on May 22 and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on June 9.
Canadian fans have a busy 2027 touring calendar to choose from. Nickelback announced seven Canadian arena dates, Calvin Harris booked four, and Zach Bryan booked stadium shows in Vancouver and Edmonton. Fans should confirm times and ticket terms on Ticketmaster before buying.
