Observing the State we Canadians are in
You came into mind Prime Minister
I thought about your promises to the nation
That everything would be so fine.
Whenever you speak to Canadians
Whenever you’re there,
We feel so hopeful
It seems you really do care.
At times we cannot ignore our depression and strife
Not knowing what to say.
All we do is keep listening to you
With hope, the pandemic will go away.
There are instances we need to act and argue
But hopefully, time granted us to ponder,
That we can work things out.
It makes our nation stronger.
I have a lot to worry about these days.
Gone are moments I thought we’d return to normalcy
Thinking of this makes me more upset, angry indeed
You’ll forever be in my mind as the source of my anguish and fears.
Parliament Hill stands before us today
a sacred place were told to protest away.
We hope you acknowledge us P.M.
and see who we really are.
Distressed people, you represent from afar.
Canadians need answers and hope, so be clear.
The nation cries out to you Sir
and asks for solutions that are sound
that will bring us all home to a nation we once knew.
