WINNIPEG – Manitoba Mounties say the deaths of three adults in a small community northwest of Winnipeg was an act of intimate partner violence.
RCMP were called to an area near the community of McCreary Friday morning where they found on the road the body of 41-year-old Marlon Glover, who had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Based on that finding, they went to a nearby home where they found the bodies of a 66-year-old woman, and two men, aged 65 and 35.
Police say an investigation has found Glover attended earlier that day at the home of a previous partner who had a protection order against him.
The 37-year-old female was able to flee the home, after which Glover went to the home of her parents and shot them and the woman’s brother before turning the gun on himself.
Police say a protection order against Glover was issued in November and at that time officers seized two guns.
