Marie-Josee Hogue, the commissioner of the public inquiry on foreign interference, released her final report which says while there is evidence of some concerning behaviour by MPs, there is no evidence any MPs plotted with foreign states against Canada’s interests. Hogue’s final report issued many recommendations to insulate Canada from clear attempts to influence its democratic institutions saying Canada needs a whole-of-society response to tackle the problem.
