Alberta unveils involuntary addiction treatment law |

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s government has introduced promised legislation to force adults and kids into addiction treatment facilities. If passed, the proposed bill would see those using substances and deemed a risk to themselves or others be potentially ordered into treatment in a secure facility for up to three months.
