Dry indoor air is a common complaint once furnaces start running in Canada, and humidifiers are among the items selling in volume on Amazon.ca this fall. Here are five models with real listings, ratings and customer reviews, all checked on Oct. 12, 2026.
Prices are accurate as of Oct. 12 and may change. The listings show an eco fee on some models.
Levoit Classic 160 top-fill cool mist humidifier
This is the budget pick for a bedroom, a nursery or a desk. It is the most-reviewed humidifier in this guide, with 62,901 ratings and a 4.3-star average, and the listing shows more than 3,000 bought in the past month. It was $59.99 on Oct. 12.
The listing describes a 2.5-litre tank that runs up to 25 hours on low, noise as low as 26 decibels, a top-fill opening, a one-knob mist control with a 360-degree nozzle, and automatic shut-off when the base runs low on water.
Reviewers most often praise how quiet it is and how little the tank needs refilling. Some reviews on the listing refer to a larger 4-litre version, so check the size option you select.
The most common complaint is cleaning. One reviewer who otherwise rated it highly said mildew collects in nooks that are hard to reach, and another said a long float part is very difficult to remove. A third reviewer said the output is light and suited to a small room, not a large living area.

DREO 4L top-fill smart cool mist humidifier
This is the mid-priced pick for people who want a larger tank and app control. It carries a Bestseller badge on Amazon.ca, a 4.4-star average from 32,166 ratings, and more than 1,000 bought in the past month. The price was $62.99 on Oct. 12, down from a listed $79.99.
The listing describes a 4-litre top-fill tank, up to 36 hours of run time, a wide mist outlet and an ultrafine mist. It is compatible with a DREO demineralization cartridge, which is sold separately.
Reviewers describe it as nearly silent, and one said it helped with a stuffy nose caused by dry bedroom air.
One reviewer found a small, closed bedroom became very humid by morning, with water on surfaces, and returned it. Another said the Wi-Fi version was hard to pair with a phone and recommended the non-Wi-Fi model.

DREO 6L warm and cool mist humidifier (HM713S)
This is the pick for larger rooms and for people who want warm mist. It averages 4.2 stars from 4,240 ratings, with more than 200 bought in the past month, and was $128.17 on Oct. 12.
The listing describes a 6-litre tank, 500 millilitres per hour of output, warm and cool mist, a humidity sensor, a 12-hour timer, app control, and Alexa and Google compatibility. The title advertises up to 60 hours of quiet run time.
One reviewer who lives in an apartment with a heat pump said dry air had been causing dry eyes, dry skin and nosebleeds, and that the humidifier helped.
One reviewer said the humidity in a 115-square-foot bedroom would not rise above 28 per cent after four hours on the highest warm setting. Another noted the warm mist is a heated ultrasonic mist, not hot steam, and a third said the base needs frequent cleaning to control build-up.

Levoit LV600S warm and cool mist humidifier
This is the pick for a large living space or an open-plan floor. It averages 4.2 stars from 14,438 ratings, the listing shows more than 200 bought in the past month, and it was $139.99 on Oct. 12.
The listing describes coverage of up to 753 square feet, 550 millilitres per hour of output, hybrid warm and cool mist, app scheduling and timers, a sleep mode under 28 decibels, and an aroma box for essential oils.
One reviewer called it the best ultrasonic humidifier they had owned after going through half a dozen cheaper ones. Another used it to keep a child’s room comfortable during recovery from a tonsillectomy.
Some reviewers reported reliability problems. One said their unit lasted around a week, and another said the humidity sensor was defective.

One reviewer found it somewhat noisy, and another returned it after listing several things they did not like about it.

We chose these models by searching Amazon.ca humidifier listings for products with a 4.2-star average or higher and a large number of ratings, then reading a sample of positive and critical reviews on each. We left out a newer model with only 70 ratings because there was too little feedback to judge. We have not tested any of these products, and prices and availability can change.
