“As long as the number of community cases remains high, cases will continue to arrive on the front doors of schools. Hinshaw announced there were 105 cases identified across the province last Friday, 173 on Saturday and 140 on Sunday. Over that same time period there were 46,127 completed tests.
The active number of cases in the province sits at 1,538. The Edmonton Zone currently has the most at 654 active cases.
There have been 15,833 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Alberta since the beginning of the pandemic and 14,041 people have recovered. There are 37 people in hospital with COVID-19, seven of whom are in intensive care.
