‘Fortnite’ Players Are Facing 90 Minute Queue Times For Season 2, Here’s Why – Forbes

Fortnite Chapter 3, season 2 is not off to the smoothest of starts at the moment. Despite servers going live this morning, players are finding some of the longest queue times they’ve ever seen for Fortnite, and Epic has issued a message about what’s going on.
I tried to log in right when servers went live a few hours ago, and was immediately hit with about a 75 minute queue time. And that’s exactly how long it took, 75 minutes, as I did manage to get in after the countdown was over. I played a few games, logged out, realized I wanted to go back and check something and now bam, 90 minute queue times have begun.
Epic has issued the following statement about what’s going on:
They’re even saying the season hasn’t “officially launched” yet as of two hours ago, but it has. If you can get in, you can play games, buy the battle pass, see all the new content. There’s something going on where they simply cannot get enough servers live to suit everyone, hence why everyone is stuck trying to find room on the few servers they can have open.
My suggestion is once you get in, do not for any reason log out again, as you will likely be faced with an even longer queue time on your return, and will probably have to sit through the entire thing, no skipping ahead. I know sometimes queue times in situations like this can jump around, but from what I’ve seen, you essentially have to sit and wait for every minute, which is not ideal if you wanted to play the game early this weekend. I’m not sure if Epic may have changed their idle policies to log people out if they’re just chilling in the game doing nothing for too long, so be aware of that if you’re putting the game down for a bit.
Fortnite seasonal launches are generally pretty smooth these days, but it’s odd to see this having this much trouble this late after the patch went up at 3 AM. Hopefully this will be resolved shortly, but until then, I would recommend that you get yourself in line now and go play something else in the interim, as it’s going to be a very long wait, and will only continue to get longer as more regions wake up and try to get on themselves.

Cat Suit Mario, Donkey Kong Make An Appearance In New Super Mario Bros. Movie Teaser – Game Informer

Nintendo and Illumination have released a new teaser that reveals Mario’s famous cat suit as well as more of Seth Rogen’s Donkey Kong.
Released during one of yesterday’s big NFL games, this teaser is short and sweet, but it features 10 or so seconds of new footage from The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which hits theaters on April 7. In it, we see Donkey Kong begin to pummel Mario, which is a clip we’ve seen before, before Mario hits a yellow “?” block. This gives him the cat suit powerup and while it’s useful in the game, that doesn’t appear to be the case here as Rogen’s Donkey Kong begins to make fun of the suit and Mario’s reliance on it.
Check it out for yourself in The Super Mario Bros. Movie clip below:
As you can see, this is the most Donkey Kong dialogue we have heard in a teaser for The Super Mario Bros. Movie yet, and it reveals that Rogen’s character is basically just him, complete with his signature laugh, too. This clip is yet another that looks great and we can’t wait for this movie to hit theaters in a few months on April 7.

Official Transformers-themed smartwatch for kids comes with a Qualcomm chip and two cameras – Yanko Design

Created by Chinese OEM Xiao Tian Cai (also known as OKII) with official licensing from Hasbro, the Transformers-themed Z8 watch is perhaps the perfect piece of gear for children. It has everything they’d possibly want, from a blue-and-red design that hat-tips Optimus Prime, to an actual folding design that reveals two cameras – one for selfies, and one working as an action cam of sorts. The smartwatch is tailor-made for youngsters, with a trendy design they’d love to wear and flaunt. Aside from that rather fascinating flip-out body, the watch even has the Autobots logo as its wallpaper and theme. In fact, Xiao Tian Cai’s even hinted at a Megatron-inspired variant sometime later.
Designer: Xiao Tian Caii (aka OKII)
The 1,999 yuan (USD $295) wearable comes with all the bells and whistles of a regular smartwatch, but is designed for children. A 760mAh battery gives it hours’ worth of use on a full charge, while 4G radio, dual-band WiFi, allows it to connect over the internet to help children stay in touch with their parents/guardians/friends. The front-facing camera lets kids click selfies, but flip the watch’s body up and you’ve got a rear camera that’s perfect for recording the world around you, as well as for character-recognition an language translation. The watch also has a heart-rate monitor, introducing children to the concept of health-tracking at a much younger age.

The latest ‘Super Mario Bros. Movie’ trailer pits Cat Mario against Donkey Kong – Yahoo Movies Canada
Over the weekend, Nintendo shared a surprise trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The 30-second clip shows additional footage from a scene that was first featured in the trailer Nintendo released last November. More importantly, it marks our first chance to hear Seth Rogen’s take on Donkey Kong. After Mario dons his cat suit, first introduced in 2013’s Super Mario 3D World, Rogen’s Donkey Kong starts laughing. “You got the cat box! I’m sorry,” the ape tells his one-time nemesis before turning serious. “Now you die.”
With Sunday’s trailer, Nintendo has now offered fans a chance to hear the entire ensemble cast of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, including Chris Pratt as Mario, Jack Black as Bowser and Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach. Following the release of the film’s second trailer, Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto said Nintendo redesigned Donkey Kong’s model for the first time since the ape made the jump to 3D in 1994’s Donkey Kong Country. The company went for a more comical design reminiscent of Donkey Kong’s original character. The Super Mario Bros. Movie will arrive in theaters on April 7th.
