In solidarity with the vigil honoring Joyce Echaquan’s memory organized by her family and community in Manawan, health workers are holding a vigil in Montreal to support Joyce’s Principle.

The Caring for Social Justice Collective and the United for Joyce Coalition are organizing a vigil to commemorate the anniversary of the death of Joyce Echaquan. We will come together to honor her memory, stand in support of Joyce’s Principle, and denounce medical colonialism & systemic racism.
Joyce Echaquan’s family supports this vigil but will not be present this year because of the commemorative events being organized in Manawan and to which media have been invited.
