My client, Kaila, works in communications and was ready to let an updated hairstyle do the all the talking as she steps into the new year.
Kaila has naturally brown, fine-density hair. It was previously highlighted and was looking brassy and faded. To level up her look, I deepened her colour using a demi-permanent formula creating a rich, smoky-brown shade. Not only does the deeper colour complement her complexion, it also makes her hair look thicker.
After cleansing her hair with Oribe Signature Shampoo and Conditioner I misted in the mid-lengths with Oribe Foundation Mist, for added conditioning. I cut her hair to collarbone length and incorporated shape and movement with some point cutting for added texture. Before styling, I sprayed her hair with Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray, then blow dried it using a round brush.
Makeup:
I wanted to show Kaila how to amplify her makeup using five easy-to-use beauty products. I evened out her complexion with Revlon Illuminance Skin-Caring Foundation because it offers a sheer and dewy finish. I then used the Whyz Multi-Stick to add a pop of colour to her cheeks and lips. I dressed her eyes using the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Moonlight then coated her eyes with black volumizing mascara.
