It should come as no surprise that Nate Diaz was
not especially impressed with Conor
McGregor’s performance at UFC 246.
McGregor returned after more than a year-long absence to finish
Donald
Cerrone in 40 seconds in Saturday’s headliner at the T-Mobile
Arena in Las Vegas. While it was a long-awaited return to form for
the Dublin native, Diaz didn’t have any praise for his former
foe.
“Weak as f—k,” Diaz tweeted in the aftermath of McGregor’s
victory.

Diaz entered a new level of stardom when he submitted McGregor in
their first meeting at UFC 196 in March 2016. McGregor would win
the rematch via majority decision in August of that year, but even
in defeat the Stockton, Calif., native was firmly established as a
box office draw.
That was proven again last year, when Diaz headlined UFC 244 at
Madison Square Garden against Jorge
Masvidal for the “BMF” title. Even though Diaz lost via doctor
stoppage, he also took a shot at Masvidal’s cageside attire on
Saturday night, which was a Versace bathrobe.
“And why the f—k u in a robe,” he wrote. “Smh.”

Diaz concluded his commentary by tweeting, “This s—ts alll

When informed of Diaz’s remarks during Saturday’s post-fight press
conference, McGregor seemed open to a trilogy bout.
“Let’s go, Nathan. Let’s go, brother. Number 3,” McGregor said.
“It’s always here. We’re right here, Nathan.”
