Canada’s main stock index opened higher on Friday and was on track for its fifth straight weekly gain, driven by a surge in cannabis producers.
At 9:33 a.m. ET (13:33 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was up 23.85 points, or 0.11%, at 21,961.74.
